This week is Volunteer Awareness Week. Volunteering by youth will be highlighted. Pauline Harper of Volunteer Wellington says “Young people are quick to catch on to the opportunities that volunteering gives from a career development perspective, as well as seeing it as being good fun”
Students at Victoria volunteer in a wide range of community roles and within the University. The Victoria Plus Award recognises those students who make a significant contribution to volunteering. Volunteering helps develop leadership, social responsibility and employability skills.
