Google is officially a verb according to Wikipedia. The verb to google (also spelled to Google) refers to using the Google search engine to obtain information on the Web. It was officially added to the Oxford English Dictionary on June 15, 2006, and to the eleventh edition of the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary in July 2006.

But there are other search engines out there that can produce better results. For example to find people and their photographs pipl.com my personal favourite, is difficult to beat….unless you know better? Pipl is a convenient way to check your web presence and be confident that there are no unpleasant surprises out there that an employer may discover before you do.
