Cover letter help
A lot of people find writing a cover letter the hardest part when applying for a job. It’s the first contact you will have with your prospective employer so a lot is riding on it to be interesting and relevant. Don’t panic! We have an article here that will help you on your way to writing a great cover letter: Cover Letters (pdf 1.45MB)
We also have lots of samples on CareerHub and in the career library – you only have to ask. It’s important to write it in your voice but by having a look at the samples it can give you a few more ideas. Once you’ve given it your best shot come along to a drop in session so a career consultant can give you feedback as to whether you are on the right track.
For some light relief have a look at this article on what NOT to say in your cover letter (and CV). If there is one lesson to be learnt it is proof read, proof read, proof read!
The resources shared by you in the article are awesome and can be very helpful to those seeking jobs. I agree with your take on ‘proof reading’.
