Creating and learning knows no bounds – how humans learn
We now know that the human brain doesn’t fully develop until around the age of 25. This means some of those earthquake-like changes in the brain that started to happen from 12 are still going on when you head off to Uni. Some students are even only 17 as they start. The good news is that we should be embracing these changes in the brain and encouraging risk taking, using your imagination and exploring new ideas to do things differently. It is important for you also to still do these things, with some guidance, so you don’t leave University not knowing how to think for yourself. Here is a fun and interesting video clip which simply sets out how humans learn.
