Hard to believe, but it’s true – it’s the end of the year again! Christmas is just around the corner… and the weather will be looking better and better each day (hopefully)!
Just close my eyes and I can already see: jandals, food, drinks, beach, flowers, sun, ice cream, chocolate, birds, boats… Forget about the alarm clock, cars/buses, gym, books, lectures/tutorials…
Indeed, summer is a time for us to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy some quality time together with friends & family. However, just like any other seasons, it is short, it’ll be gone just as fast as it arrives. It’s crucial to savour it and make every moment count.
Here’s what I’m planning to do (not that they will all get done, but it’s a start) – just a simple list, but a good reminder… if you have other suggestions, feel free to add them on via comment.
Review/Go back to the start
It’s very easy to get caught in the day in, day out routine, repeating the same thing over and over again. It’s very important to:
– go back to the start
– think about what I have set out to achieve this year
– ask if I have been successful or not? Why or why not?
The good: into the recycle bin – repeat it in the new year
The bad: into the compose bin – let it go/rot, might be a good reference for future?
The ugly: into the waste bin – don’t ever go near it again, time to move on
Applies to all aspects: life, work, computer folders, photos… maybe even the facebook account!
Learn or do something new, something that I have passion for:
– new computer skill: graphic design? database? website editing?
– new hobby/sports: dance? board games? random act of kindness?
…gain weight is certainly not an option though!
Loosen up and make the most out of the summer
Do something random or ‘crazy’ – within limit of course!
Catch up with friends/family
