Many students worry that their degrees may not lead them to a specific career or they may wonder what job title relates to their specialism. How do you become an expert? Interestingly the majority of graduates have varied and diverse career paths and often look back and think ‘I could never have predicted this is where I would end up.’ This usually results in a depth of understanding of a certain sector and yes, specialism in some cases, but this video might put you off actually being classed as an expert.

I have friends who are engineers or IT consultants and they nod in agreement with this sketch of ‘The Expert’ who is trying to work with his corporate clients. So, be careful what you wish for!
