Working in the careers and employment space means I am tuned in to a wide range of topics from the economy to education and often blog about the more serious side of career development and job search. However, on the way to work I had a giggle when the radio presenters featured jokes from the recent Edinburgh comedy festival. Investigating further I discovered two of the jokes had a career relevance and anyway all of the gags, which were clean and new material, made me snigger. I did also have a side-thought wondering about the career journeys of these performers!

So in at number 10 is Grace the Child: “They’re always telling me to live my dreams. But I don’t want to be naked in an exam I haven’t revised for” and honourable mention went to Jenny Collier: “I never lie on my CV, because it creases it”.
