Smart Suggested posts
I am not usually one to advise students to spend lots of wasted hours looking at suggested posts on their Facebook feed, getting side-tracked into the lives of people they hardly know and generally filling one’s head with nonsense. Although, a good giggle at certain memes can certainly lighten up the working day.
However, I have noticed that my suggested posts have been getting more sophisticated and in fact at times useful for my job, my career planning and life choices. Maybe I am deserving of more intellectual suggested posts now or maybe it is just a fluke. Anyway keep an eye out for posts which can widen your knowledge and open your mind to learning that could help you when thinking about your future career. Here is one that I am enjoying via Kiwibank and The Spinoff – The New Economy, a pop-up section which takes a critical look at the issues and challenges facing the New Zealand economy.
